Jeff Carpenter Certified Licensing Pro’s Expertise I switched from "employee" to "freelancer" a few years ago, so I'd have more control over the buckets I put my work into, and how their contents are divvied. My Bird Dog bucket ... I help people discern, then knock asunder, uninvited obstacles on the path between great ideas and fantastic products. If you see a white Bird Dog with floppy ears and blue spots, that's a good thing! A reality check can't be far behind. My SkoobLevart bucket ... I'm kind of a nut when it comes to history, culture, art, and the like, and the things that make people around the world different and the same. The enjoyment of traveling, and supporting travel, led us to found SkoobLevart, maker of Superlative Products for Travelers. My wife is the Nice President, and I'm the Neat Stuff Developer. A couple other pards help make the engine go. Anti-pickpocket products are our main money-maker. Our "people like us enjoy things like this" focus is our map and blog about hidden gems of historical, cultural, and general interest. High priorities for Bird Dog. • Engaging “non-traditional” entrepreneurs in start-ups – not to stereotype anyone, but inclusion of artists, musicians, liberal arts majors, etc., with the engineer, science, and business folks I normally work with might flip the whole thing through unexpected views of the problem and the solution. I’d like to team and collaborate with like-minded. • Working with veterans and veteran's spouses and children who are interested in entrepreneurship. Especially if they are inventors. Thank you for your service. And if I can be of service ... • Clean technology commercialization. I don’t care too much if people believe global climate change is occurring. I do care that when we make a mess, we clean it the heck up! Now, please. That's how I was raised. I also believe there are plenty of ways to make money cleaning up after those who won't or don't. • Open innovation strategy and tech scouting for SMEs instead of biggies.
